Opening times and how to book a visit
Group bookings are taken throughout the year, although the Centre normally curtails its activities during January and February. The Centre is open during the school holidays and many holiday clubs use the facilities. The Holly Lodge Centre is open from 9am to 4pm on weekdays and is closed at weekends. We are closed on public holidays and between 25 December and 1 January.
Bookings
Please telephone first to check availability. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you book at least two weeks in advance of your intended visit. This helps us to put together a team of volunteers best suited to your chosen activity.
Once you have called to check the availability of your preferred date, please complete the booking form and the terms and conditions. The Centre will confirm your booking in writing.
The cost of a two hour activity session is £3 per person. For special events and activities (e.g. Victorian Christmas) the charge is £3.50. Payment can be in advance or on the day of the visit and an invoice can be sent on request. Please make cheques payable to 'Holly Lodge Centre'. In the event of a cancellation with less than seven days' notice (except for reasons that are unavoidable such as unavailability of transport or illness) a penalty of 25% of the booking fee will be charged.
Please complete a booking form and post to us. Online booking is not available but you may download a booking form from this site.
What to bring
If the weather is totally unsuitable for an outdoor session then the activity will be carried out inside. However, visitors are requested to come suitably dressed for the occasion and season. In wet weather, wellies and waterproof clothing are advisable. Warmth and comfort is a priority for those with special needs.
If required, please bring a packed lunch and drinks as neither food nor drink is available at the Holly Lodge Centre. There is space indoors and a picnic lawn where groups can eat.
