On 26th January 2011 HRH Princess Alexandra visited the Holly Lodge Centre to perform the official opening ceremony of our Victorian pharmacy.
We are now extending our Victorian theme with extra activities to take place in this new educational resource. We have already run some pilot sessions and new activities will be developed as we establish a working culture for the pharmacy and try out different things for our visitors.
Mr Palmer's Chymist includes the original interior, artefacts and dispensing records from a chemist’s shop in Mortlake. They were donated to us by the last owner, Mr Alex Mulholland shown here with some of the volunteers who will help deliver the educational sessions.
