We have a variety of ways people can support the Centre with a donation.

The Holly Lodge Centre exists thanks to the generous support of our donors, supporters and the enthusiasm of our volunteers. If you are able to help us give these 3,500 main stream children and 500 children with special needs, an education experience which helps them see the national curriculum through nature or heritage. We also work with adults with special needs and dementia who also would appreciate your help.

We want our beneficiaries to have the best education experience then can, which leaves them enthusiastic about learning and thinking about subjects in a different way.  It should also be an experience that they feel is fun!

We receive no Government funding so are dependent on our supporters to help us maintain and improve this service.

You may want to make a one-time donation to the Centre or a regular donation, which can either be monthly, quarterly or annually. Donations can be made online or by bank transfer

Sports challenges

Could you take on a sporting challenge to help the Holly Lodge Centre?

Most years we reserve places for our supporters at major sporting events such as the London Duathlon, the Royal Parks Half Marathon and RideLondon.  For each sporting meet the Centre pays the entrance fee and we ask the supporter running or cycling for us to raise at least £250 in sponsorship.

About a third of the Centre’s income is from grants provided by trusts and foundations.  We receive funding for day-to-day operations and for specific projects in respect of equipment and educational activity-related.

In recent years, we have received funding from:

  • Richmond Parish Lands, to support our three-year development plan and the associated transitional costs
  • Barnes Workhouse Fund, to support our day-to-day education activities, with a focus on services to Barnes schools and groups
  • Kaye Pemberton Trust, to support the Centre’s operations and projects
  • Normansfield and Richmond Foundation, for new garden furniture for the Centre’s picnic area
  • Heathrow Community Fund, for water storage tanks to allow us to use the nature trail’s ponds year round
  • Chapman Charitable Trust, to support our day-to-day education activities
  • The Wellcome Trust, for the creation of the Victorian Pharmacy.
