On the 30th June, we welcomed a wonderful class of inquisitive and eager 7-8 year olds from St Richard's Primary School.

This was a long awaited visit as their original booking to celebrate Earth Day (22nd April) had to be cancelled due to Covid.

On arrival they were greeted with a terrible sight!  There was rubbish strewn all over our picnic area (deliberatey placed for educational purposes!) but armed with gloves and litter pickers, the students soon had the mess cleared up and sorted into the appropruiate recycling boxes. The contents from these boxes were then renewed and reused in the activities that followed.

The children planted tree seeds, made their own compost,  learnt about water pollution and more. At the end of a very busy and productive session the children all decorated an earth biscuit as a well deserved treat.
