We are mid-way through our wonderful Victorian Christmas sessions especially designed for visitors with widely different needs, from children with autism, visual impairments or learning difficulties, to those with complex and life-limiting physical disabilities, to elderly people living in care homes or the community.

Our festive activities are designed to include as many sensory elements as possible, such as Victorian decorations made of interesting textures which everyone enjoys hanging on the tree. After lighting the tree and celebrating with some Christmas singing and instruments, our visitors can decorate a little photo frame and make pomanders to take home.

The sensory activities continue with making gingerbread, smelling all the ingredients and stirring them up before rolling out the dough and cutting shapes. Of course we have some ready made ones to taste as well!

It is wonderful to see so many groups from across London attending and the perfect way to start Christmas.
