Bookings are normally for a two-hour period in the morning or afternoon.  However many schools book for two sessions to make a full day visit. Please help us by booking well in advance.   

If you wish to book a visit, please telephone first to check availability and to discuss your chosen activity. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you book a minimum of four weeks in advance of your intended visit. This helps us to put together a team of volunteers best suited to your chosen activity.

Once you have called to check the availability of your preferred date, please complete the booking form, read our terms and conditions and return your completed form to us. Please keep a copy of your completed booking form as it contains information about what to do on arrival at the Centre.  The Centre will confirm your booking by email and send you further information.

Cost of the visit

For mainstream school groups the cost of a two-hour activity session is £135

For specialist schools and community groups the cost is £5 per person

You will be invoiced after your trip[s].


Please make cheques payable to 'the Holly Lodge Centre'.  In the event of a cancellation with less than seven days' notice a charge of 50% of the anticipated total activity fee will be charged.

Transport Fund

The Holly Lodge Centre has a small transport bursary available to assist schools in areas where parents may not be able to contribute towards the cost of hiring transport.
